Geo. III silver cream jug by the Bateman family. Good size and elegant shape with crisp brightcut decoration, typical of the family's work. Lovely wicker handle (in fine condition) which allows for the use of hot milk as well as cream. Due to it's size this would also make a fine jug for water for a whisky drinker. Great interesting piece of finely crafted period silver.
