Description
Early Victorian silver and bloodstone table desk seal; the finial is modelled as a figure with crossed legs, on a disc supported by three female figures on a crouched cherub mount. The bloodstone base unscrews to reveal the seal, which is vacant. This is full of intrigue and great craftsmanship; unique and highly collectable.London. 1844. Samuel Whitford.
