Set Of Four Silver "Galleon" Menu Holders.
Set of four silver menu holders; these lovely pieces are each in the form of two fully rigged galleons, the hand pierced vessels mounted on a calm sea. The detail is beautifully crisp and "a set of four" is always desirable as these delightful items often get split-up over the years. Manufactured by one of London's grand old Jewellers and Silversmiths.

Antique Silver & Glass Butter Dish.
William IV silver butter dish with clear glass liner; the star based glass dish sits on a lobed stand and has a matching lobed cover with a cow finial. The stand and cover are both crested, and both cover and stand are beautifully hallmarked. These items are well collected and this is a great example.

Pair Christofle Silverplated Serving Dishes.
Pair silverplated lidded serving dishes; manufactured by Christofle, the leading manufacturers of silverplated goods in France at this period. Christofle's unique hallmarking system allows us to date these at between 1890 and 1910, comensurate with their styling at the introduction of the Art Nouveau period. These are in fine condition and of the high quality associated with this manufactuer. Stylish and practicle.

Old Sheffild Plate Soup Tureen.
Georgian Old Sheffield Plate soup tureen; circular design on a round pedestal foot, this handsome lidded tureen has a wealth of period decoration. The foot is decorated with leaf design, the body has an engraved frieze in foliate and ribbon pattern, the handles are cast with yet more varying leaf designs, and the lid is crowned with an acorn knop.
Decorative and useful!
